Sasha, a three-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, was rescued by RSPCA inspectors in June 2024 after enduring neglect by her previous owners. She was found in a home where she was confined without access to the outdoors for basic needs. Despite being desperate, she was punished by not being provided with food or water when she relieved herself indoors.
After her rescue, Sasha has been residing at the RSPCA Suffolk Central branch in Martlesham for over a year. The shelter aims to find her a permanent home, especially before her upcoming fourth birthday. A plea for adoption was made on social media, emphasizing the urgency to give Sasha a loving home.
Although only one family has visited Sasha at the kennel, no adoption came through. The RSPCA mentioned that Sasha is well-trained in terms of toilet habits, enjoys walks, thrives in a home setting, and loves cozying up on the sofa at night.
Described as “super clean” and well-behaved on a leash, Sasha needs to be muzzled due to her reactive behavior towards other dogs. However, she can have controlled social walks with suitable canine companions, although not all dogs may be compatible with her.
Potential adopters are encouraged to provide Sasha with a decent-sized garden for off-leash time as she is intelligent and enjoys training activities. The RSPCA highlighted Sasha’s affectionate nature, expressing sadness that she was deprived of care and love in her previous environment.
