“Trump Criticizes Time Magazine Cover Amid Peace Deal Praise”

Must Read

US President Donald Trump made headlines globally for his efforts to promote peace in Gaza, with one notable exception. Following his visit to Israel for hostage and prisoner releases as part of a recent ceasefire agreement, Trump, along with 20 other world leaders, signed a declaration in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.

Time magazine published an issue celebrating these events as ‘His Triumph,’ emphasizing his administration’s extensive work towards achieving peace. Despite the positive coverage, Trump strongly criticized the magazine cover image, which depicted him in a serious pose wearing a navy suit, white shirt, and red tie.

Expressing his disapproval on Truth Social, Trump condemned the photo for distorting his hair and appearing to have a small floating crown above his head. He described the cover as “weird” and questioned the choice of angle for the picture.

The article lauded the deal as a potential highlight of Trump’s second term and a significant strategic shift for the Middle East. It recognized the painstaking efforts made by his administration to secure the ceasefire and stabilize the region.

Known for his admiration of Time magazine, Trump has been featured on its cover multiple times, winning Person of the Year twice. In a previous interview, he expressed the honor he felt being recognized by the renowned publication.

However, prior to his presidency, Trump expressed frustration at not being chosen as Person of the Year, particularly when the honor was given to German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Despite this, his relationship with the magazine has been longstanding, with Trump acknowledging its importance in his life.
