Tragic Toddler Deaths at Nurseries in Lancashire

A toddler, aged two, passed away at a nursery in Parbold, West Lancashire, after being discovered unresponsive. The incident occurred at Parbold Douglas Church of England Academy on a Friday afternoon around 2:45pm. Despite immediate medical attention, the child could not be revived.

Authorities from Lancashire Police stated that the boy’s death is not being treated as suspicious. They expressed condolences to the family during this tragic time. The police were alerted to the situation at 2:43pm on September 19th at Lancaster Lane, Parbold, where the child was found unresponsive.

The police spokesperson mentioned, “Following reports of a child becoming unresponsive at school, he was transported to the hospital. Despite efforts by medical personnel, he sadly passed away. Our hearts go out to the family as they navigate this difficult period.” The incident is not considered suspicious, and the case will be referred to the HM Coroner in the future. The family has requested privacy.

This unfortunate event follows a similar tragedy where a two-year-old boy died in January after an emergency at Early Learners Day Nursery in Bootle. The child was rushed for treatment but was pronounced dead shortly after. Parents were informed of the incident, leading to the temporary closure of the nursery.

Authorities announced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the child’s death. It was confirmed that the child experienced a medical episode while at the nursery, was swiftly taken to the hospital, but unfortunately could not be saved. Merseyside Police stated that they are currently investigating the incident at Early Learners Day Nursery in Bootle, treating the cause of death as unexplained.
