Ruck secured a silver medal in the women’s 100m butterfly and later added a bronze as part of the women’s 4x100m freestyle relay team, bringing her total medal count to five. She achieved a personal best time of 56.71 seconds in the 100m butterfly, finishing behind American Gretchen Walsh. Meanwhile, McIntosh, the current world-record holder, expressed disappointment after failing to qualify for the A final in the women’s 400m freestyle event. McIntosh acknowledged her misjudgment and vowed to learn from the experience.

Ruck expressed her satisfaction with her performance, highlighting the importance of rest and trust in her abilities. McIntosh, on the other hand, acknowledged her frustration and pledged to analyze her training for improvements. Despite McIntosh’s setback, she will compete in the 200m IM event, where she holds world records.

Tierney emphasized the significance of their podium finishes, while Japan’s Yumeki Kojima secured the gold medal. The Canadian men’s 4x100m freestyle team narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth behind the U.S., Australia, and Japan.
