Kendrick Lamar Dominates Grammy Nominations

Must Read

The Grammy Award nominations have been revealed, with Taylor Swift notably absent while Kendrick Lamar secures an impressive nine nods. Lamar’s album “GNX” leads a surge of hip-hop contenders, alongside Tyler, the Creator’s “Chromakopia” and “Let God Sort Em Out” by Clipse, Pusha T, and Malice. Other prominent nominees include Lady Gaga, Jack Antonoff, and Sabrina Carpenter.

British rock artist Yungblud garners three nominations, but Taylor Swift, despite having the year’s top-selling album, misses out due to the release date of her album “Life of a Showgirl.” The eligibility period for the 68th Grammy Awards spanned from August 31, 2024, to August 30, 2025, preventing Swift from submitting her record until the 2027 edition.

In a separate category, Timothée Chalamet is nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media for “A Complete Unknown,” portraying Bob Dylan. However, his competition includes strong contenders such as “Wicked,” “KPop Demon Hunters,” “Sinners,” and “F1 the Album.”

The 2026 Grammy Awards ceremony is scheduled to be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+ on February 1 from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
