Prince Harry has criticized unidentified individuals within the royal establishment, referring to them as “men in grey suits,” for disrupting his relationship with his father, King Charles.
According to reports, the Duke of Sussex was angered by what he saw as a deliberate effort by certain Palace officials to undermine his efforts to reconcile with his father after their rift. He was particularly upset by negative briefings given to the press.
The ongoing rift between Prince Harry and Palace officials escalated as discussions were underway to bring the King and his son together in a display of unity.
A source close to Prince Harry stated to the Mail On Sunday that the relationship between the Duke and the King is a private matter between them and should not involve external interference.
Reports indicated that plans for more public appearances in the UK involving Harry were being considered, despite his non-working status within the Royal Family. However, Palace officials opposed the idea of a partial return for the prince.
One comment suggested that Prince Harry had misunderstood the nature of a meeting with Charles, likening it to a simple social gathering rather than a significant event. The Sun also reported that the meeting between Harry and the King was formal and official in nature.
Following the meeting, there were no further arrangements for public appearances together, and despite denials from Harry’s spokesperson, certain inaccurate details continued to circulate, allegedly aimed at sabotaging any reconciliation between the father and son.
The ongoing family tensions arose from Harry’s decision to step back from royal duties and share personal family information in his memoir, “Spare.”
