Unexpectedly, Matthew took his two young children, Kaleo and Roxy, on a trip to Mexico, leaving his wife behind while they were preparing for a family camping trip. Concerned, Abby reported the children missing when they did not return home as planned.
Despite Abby’s belief that the children were safe, authorities found out that Matthew had taken them to Mexico. Tragically, on August 10, he brutally murdered his children with a spearfishing gun, hiding their bodies in a wooded area.
