“Co-op Unveils 11 New Stores, Including Flagship London Location”

Co-op is preparing to unveil 11 fresh stores this week, marking its expansion across various locations from Bristol to the Scottish Highlands. Notably, the Co-op will become the inaugural permanent retailer at the new Brent Cross Town development in London.

The new store openings include a mix of brand-new outlets, franchise-operated stores, and revamped locations. This initiative forms part of the retailer’s broader strategy to invest in over 200 new and refurbished stores by 2024/25.

These store launches are part of the 50 stores Co-op confirmed for opening this November and December, aligning with the festive season. The Co-op is advocating for business-rate reform in the upcoming Budget.

Kate McCrae, Co-op’s Operations Director, emphasized the company’s commitment to establishing local stores as community hubs that cater to the needs of residents. She highlighted the importance of supporting local economies, creating jobs, and endorsing British suppliers.

In a bid to enhance its membership scheme, Co-op announced 200 new personalized offers, increased discounts, member-exclusive games, and special deals. Members stand to save over £90 during October, November, and December, with monthly prizes up for grabs based on in-store and online purchases.

Rachel Halter, Co-op’s Director of Membership, stressed the company’s dedication to providing added value to its members through personalized offers and rewards. By expanding access to discounts and popular features, Co-op aims to deliver significant savings and rewards to its loyal members.
