“Sarah Ferguson Dropped as Patron Over Epstein Email”

Must Read

Children’s hospice and a food charity have both removed Sarah Ferguson as a patron following revelations that she referred to Jeffrey Epstein as a “supreme friend” in an email.

Julia’s House, a children’s hospice in Dorset and Wiltshire, stated that it was no longer suitable for the duchess to maintain her position due to her communication with Epstein. The charity expressed gratitude for her previous support but deemed it inappropriate for her to continue as a patron.

Similarly, a food charity, The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, announced the termination of Ferguson as its patron. The founders, Nadim and Tanya Ednan-Laperouse OBEs, mentioned being disturbed by the news of Ferguson’s correspondence with Epstein. They acknowledged her past contributions but indicated that it was no longer appropriate for her to be affiliated with the charity.

The email exchange between Ferguson and Epstein, dated April 26, 2011, came shortly after Ferguson publicly stated that she would distance herself from the convicted sex offender. The message, reported by The Sun newspaper, showed Ferguson apologizing to Epstein for associating him with pedophilia and praising his character.

Ferguson’s spokesperson explained that the email was sent as an attempt to appease Epstein and address his threats. In a previous interview, Ferguson expressed regret for accepting funds from Epstein and emphasized her strong stance against pedophilia and child abuse.

Reports revealed that Ferguson later sent another apologetic email to Epstein, expressing fear and regret for not responding earlier. She acknowledged Epstein as a loyal friend but cited advice to avoid contact with him due to potential implications for herself and the Duke.

As the fallout continues, the debate lingers on whether Ferguson should be stripped of her royal title. Readers are invited to participate in a poll to share their opinions on the matter.
